Not your average vitamin C serum. Every ingredient has high levels of antioxidants to rejuvenate and revive your skin cells. Turmeric extract helps to reduce any kind of inflammation (breakouts, rosacea, eczema, hyperpigmentation). Not photo/sun sensitive.
Formulated by practicing Skin Therapist/Expert Diana Ralys.
Vitamin C in skin care helps to keep skin young. Environmental factors such a pollution, poor diet, lack of exercise, poor skin care habits lead to damage inside of our body known as free radicals. You have had heard the phrase "fights free radicals", well you cannot "fight" them they are simply unpaired electrons. How to pair uncharged electrons? Antioxidants. What has high amounts of antioxidants? VITAMIN C!
If you have sun damage it also does wonders for reversing the signs of dark spots in the skin.
Vitamin C has been shown to promote anti-aging and anti-oxidant properties as Vitamin C is required for collagen production. Collagen is essential in maintaining healthy-looking, young skin. Vitamin C has shown to regulate collagen synthesis. (A little side note, please note, that applying topical collagen is NOT the same thing. There has been lots of marketing for internal and external consumption of collagen but it does not change your body's collagen production).
What makes Diana Ralys Skin Health Vitamin C Serum + Turmeric different?
Vitamin C can be very unstable and quickly oxidize. You may have tried a vitamin c serum that burns or tingles and may think that your skin it "too sensitive". Most products that contain Vitamin C use the powdered Ascorbic Acid, which is a great ingredient but it needs to be tamed so it does not damage the skin instead of helping it. DRSH Vitamin C Serum + Turmeric uses encapsulated Vitamin C.
By encapsulating vitamins in liposomes, we can enhance delivery of the vitamins and keep them safe from oxidation. The liposomes protect against degradation which can be caused by direct exposure to UV rays and temperature changes. Our skin is fatty/oily (which is good thing, don't be afraid of oil) therefore, fatty ingredients absorb well into the skin. By encapsulating Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Palmitate) in a fatty lipid makes delivery of Vitamin C Serum + Turmeric as ease.
Other magical ingredients in DRSH Vitamin C +Turmeric include:
Watermelon Extract: known for being rich in vitamin C, amino acids and lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that’s great for sun-damaged skin. It’s also known to promote cell regeneration and moisturize.
Wasabi Extract: A source of natural vitamin c and aids in antimicrobial and antifungal properties (essentially a preservative that also helps the skin, bonus!)
Chaparral Extract: known to have anti-septic and antioxidant properties which are useful for oily and/or problem skin.
Mulberry Extract: In August 2002, issue of the Biological and Pharmaceutical Bulletin, a study by SH Lee, et. al found that mulberry extract inhibits melanin production. Great for those that are using Vitamin C Serum + Turmeric for sun damage/dark spots!
Spotted Orchid Extract: Spotted Orchids belong to a group of plant pigments called anthocyanins. These anthocyanins are part of the plant’s protective mechanism as anthocyanins are synthesized in response to environmental stressors such as UV radiation, temperature extremes, drought, disease and pollution. Anthocyanins are also part of a larger group of phytochemicals called flavonoids, which are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory capabilities.
DragonFruit Extract: The antioxidant activity of dragon fruit is mainly due to its content of ascorbic acid (vitamin C). Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant agent with free radical scavenging activity, very useful to treat photoaging. This vitamin has photoprotective properties similar to those of vitamin E. Vitamin C neutralizes UVB-generated free radicals.
Food Grade Turmeric Extract: contains berberine that has been found to have the best antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric internally and externally is the most anti-inflammatory ingredient on the market. Break outs, hyperpigmentation/dark spots, redness, sensitivity, this is all inflammation. Using anti-inflammatory ingredients helps to reduce the signs of all of the above problems.
Purslane: an edible plant rich in glutathione and glutathione reductase (antioxidants that help uncharged electrons find buddies so they are not free radicals damaging your healthy cells). Purslane is also highly effective at keeping vitamin c stable.
Co Enzyme Q10: Coenzyme Q-10 (CoQ-10) is a vitamin-like substance found throughout the body, but especially in the heart, liver, kidney, and pancreas. It is capable of increasing energy levels as it is involved in the production of ATP, a molecule in body cells that functions like a rechargeable battery in the transfer of energy. ATP is what gives our cells energy and revitalize them keeping them young and healthy. This too is encapsulated in a lipid for optimum delivery such like the vitamin c!
RECOMMENDED FOR: Subtle but powerful ingredients make this serum great for any skin type. Acne prone skin: anti-inflammatory benefits sooths active blemishes and anti-septic properties kill bacteria. Discoloration: non-irritating serum that provides anti-redness and has properties of brightening. Mature skin: increases local blood circulation to increase production of collagen and elastin.
